Mission

The 374th Airlift Wing Equal Opportunity mission is to deliver world-class EO and Human Relations services through balanced EO compliance, Human Relations Education, Climate Assessments, and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Through these services, EO strives to attract and propagate a diverse corporate culture that enables the total force the opportunity to attain the highest levels of achievement commensurate with individual talent and performance.

The EO office is responsible for improving mission readiness and the quality of life for all military and civilian personnel with an inclusive Air Force culture that embraces and utilizes the diversity within our service.

The equal opportunity office also ensures all people are provided the opportunity to reach their full potential regardless of race, color, religion, sex (to include sexual harassment), national origin, age, physical/mental disability or reprisal in the workplace by:
- Integrating diversity management and equal opportunity principles into Air Force policies, practices, and procedures. Embracing diversity throughout the Air Force and demonstrating an unquestionable commitment to equal opportunity principles.
- Educating Air Force personnel -- from the newest recruits to the most senior leaders -- on diversity and equal opportunity principles.
- Monitoring compliance with equal opportunity policies, guidance, and Federal laws prohibiting unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment.
- Identifying and removing barriers that may impede the accession, development, evaluation, promotion, and retention of all Air Force members.

Military and civilian employees have the option of using their chain of command to address issues without fear of reprisal. They also have the option of contacting the EO office to discuss their issues.

Current and former civilian employees or applicants for employment must contact an EO counselor within 45 calendar days of the date an incident occurs or within 45 calendar days after a personnel action is taken or they become aware of an action taken against them.

Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR), mediation and facilitation are also available for all workplace disputes if agreed upon by parties involved in a dispute.

Officials authorized to receive formal civilian complaints of discrimination are the 374th Airlift Wing commander and the 374th Airlift Wing Equal Opportunity director.
