9/11 Tower Run
Participants that took part in the Sept. 11 Tower Run pose for a photo after a closing ceremony at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Sept. 8, 2017. The tower run competition was a timed event completed relay style with 4-member teams. Each member ascended and descended to the 9th floors of a base tower 3 times wearing a 20-pound self-contained breathing apparatus air pack. By the end, each team collectively climbed 110 floors, equivalent to the World Trade Center that fire fighters and first responders climbed during Sept. 11. (U.S. Air Force photo by Machiko Arita)
