COLONEL TODD M. FREECE
Colonel Todd M. Freece is Commander, 374th Mission Support Group, Yokota Air Base, Japan. He is responsible to the 374th Airlift Wing commander for command, control and direction of support activities to the 374th Airlift Wing and 32 tenant units to include Headquarters U.S. Forces Japan and 5th Air Force. The 374th Mission Support Group provides security, communications and computer systems, information management, facilities and repair, logistics, contracting, people programs and quality of life for 11,000 military and civilians, and assets worth more than $2 billion.
Colonel Freece received his commission in 1987 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a command space operator and has served in a variety of operational space assignments including space launch, space-based missile warning, space control and Air Force Satellite Control Network operations. Colonel Freece has completed several staff tours including Headquarters Fourteenth Air Force, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces and Headquarters United States Space Command. Colonel Freece commanded the 527th Space Aggressor Squadron and has served as a Director of Operations and Chief of Wing Safety. He also served as Senior Space Operations and Planning Officer for Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force - Arabian Peninsula in Baghdad, Iraq during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. His most recent assignment was as the Vice Commander, 613th Air & Space Operations Center, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
