In support of U.S. Pacific Command and the U.S.-Japan Security Alliance, United States Forces Japan works with the Government of Japan and our Self-Defense Force counterparts to promote regional stability and deter aggression. Should deterrence fail, USFJ conducts and supports combat operations to defend Japan. |
