5/18/2012 - YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Japan will experience an annular solar eclipse Monday, May 21, at 7:34 a.m.

This will take place for the first time in Japan in 25 years, and Yokota is in the absolute perfect position to observe this unique solar event.

Yokota Airmen and their families are encouraged to safely enjoy this event. Viewers are reminded that your vision can be damaged by staring directly into the sun--so be careful before and after the event.

Details about an annular eclipse and how to safely observe the event can be found by visiting the following website.
