Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS)
EDIS is a department of the U.S. Naval Hospital, whose mission is to help children with special needs achieve their developmental and educational potential by providing quality family-centered support services in the home, school, and community in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
The goal of EDIS is to make sure that all children are ready to learn when they reach school age. Early Intervention Services (EIS) are provided to eligible infants and toddlers ages birth to 3 and Related Services (RS) to children ages 3 to 21.
