Yokota Air Base leadership, alongside multilateral partners from the US Army, US Navy, and Japan Self Defense Forces, observed the annual New Year's Jumps exercise at the Camp Narashino Training Area in Chiba, Japan, on Jan. 8, 2023. The first jump exercise of the year in Japan showcases a bilateral capability and emphasizes the strong commitment defense partners have in creating a free and open Indo-Pacific region. This display of strength and capability by allied military forces acts as a deterrent to peer adversaries and as a symbol of the lasting friendship between allied partners and the event is a reminder of the continued commitment of the U.S. and Japan allies to strengthening bilateral capabilities, enhancing interoperability and cooperation between two militaries.
