5 AF memorial dedication Oct. 13

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- In memory of the oldest and continuously active numbered Air Force in the United States Air Force, the 5th Air Force Memorial Foundation (5AFMF) is having a formal dedication ceremony to unveil the 5 AF Memorial plaque at the Hill Air Force Base, Utah Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. at the Aerospace Memorial Chapel.

This identification plaque has a special inscription saluting departed 5 AF members and describes the formation, history and honors of the numbered Air Force, the oldest continuously active organization of its kind in the Air Force.

All 5AFMF members and any member of a current 5 AF organization are welcome to attend the dedication event.
