Commander's Corner: Oct. 17, 2014

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- I had the distinct honor of attending the Hispanic Heritage Month luncheon on Tuesday. It was a great finale for the heritage month as well as an outstanding opportunity to celebrate the diversity of Team Yokota. It was a privilege to be a part of such a culturally rich event.

Diversity is a big part of what makes our Wing such a successful team. Across Yokota, our Airmen represent a wide variety of skill sets, but we all work together to support the same mission: Professional Airlift. When we work together and draw on the distinctive talents of every part of our force that is when we make our best achievements and take down our most difficult challenges.

Diversity is what makes us a stronger force. And it is important that we continue to hold diversity in high regard because it plays a vital part in what makes us the "Best Wing in the Pacific".
