YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Tech. Sgt. James Cone, 374th Maintenance Squadron Nondestructive Inspection assistant shop chief, inspects lift welds for cracks using a dye penetrant at Yokota Air Base, Japan, May 14, 2013. The penetrant is spayed on the cracks and then wiped off. If any cracks are present, the penetrant will remain in them and glow green under a black light.
