Required Documents List

Congratulations on your assignment selection to Australia. We are the 337th Air Support Flight and as the designated DoD support agency in Australia, we are here to provide administrative, finance, transportation, TRICARE, education and legal support during your tour Down Under. Please take the time to browse our website paying particular attention to the “Preparing your HHG for Shipment” section which will include a link for the Australian custom forms for HHGs.  If you are shipping a POV, please refer to the Statutory and Asbestos Declarations that are required in order to obtain a Vehicle Import Approval to Australia.  For members with school aged children, please review Dependent Education in Australia to get started on the application process.  Our website will provide you all the information you need for assignment and transition to Australia.

Additionally, provide the below items/information to 337ASUF.DP.ORGBOX@us.af.mil as soon as you can.

  • Orders
  • Itinerary
  • Passports (of all members coming to Australia including dependents).  Send a copy of the passport profile page and a copy of your SOFA stamp (if already issued).  SOFA stamp MUST be on official passport.  Reference the Foreign Clearance Guide for more information.
  • Length of your tour
  • Position Location

If available for your branch of service, you are highly encouraged to increase the spending limit on your Government Travel Card to $20K through your Agency Program Coordinator (APC). Travel voucher processing times are slower than normal and overall cost in Australia is high.

In-processing

Upon arrival in Australia, you will need to in-process with our unit.  You can do this either via telephone or TDY to Canberra (parent unit funded).  Appointments for in-processing can only be made on Mondays and Wednesdays, 0830-1500.
