How it’s done: AMXS Communication and Navigation Airmen

Tech. Sgt. Brandon Jacobs, 374th AMXS communication and navigation NCOIC, performs a systems diagnostic with Airman 1st Class Keith Steve, 374th AMXS C-130 communication and navigation journeyman, on a C-130J Super Hercules during routine maintenance at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Feb. 9, 2022. All maintenance operations begin the same way, by booting up the Aircraft’s on-board computer and performing a diagnostic test. If something’s malfunctioning, the system will produce an error code for communication and navigation Airmen use to locate a broken part or ensure safe conditions for installing new hardware.
