Yokota tour enhances US, Japan relations

U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Simon Castro, 36th Airlift Squadron C-130J Super Hercules pilot, listens to Yuki Saito, 374th Airlift Wing community engagement specialist, as she helps translate questions posed by representatives from the National Base Relations Council during a community tour of Yokota Air Base, Japan, Jan. 20, 2023. Twenty members of the National Base Relations Council toured the base and got to view a C-130J, the new base passenger terminal facility and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force’s Operations Support Wing. Together, the council represents 14 municipalities throughout Japan, including Fussa and Misawa. The tour served as an opportunity to strengthen U.S.-Japan relations by educating government officials about the important mission at Yokota. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Natalie Doan)
