COLONEL KAZIMIR M. KOSTRUBALA
Col. Kazimir M. Kostrubala is the commander of the 374th Mission Support Group, Yokota Air Base, Japan. He is responsible for over 3,200 personnel across six squadrons and one geographically separated flight and manages over $7 billion assets to provide combat support, agile expeditionary capabilities and mission-ready forces for the 374th Airlift Wing and over 50 mission partners including Headquarters U.S. Forces, Japan and 5th Air Force. The group provides installation force protection, communications, contracting, logistics, civil engineering, and personnel, services and quality of life programs for over 11,500 military and civilian personnel and families.

Prior to this assignment, Col. Kostrubala was the Defense Logistics Agency’s senior representative responsible for synchronizing and coordinating DLA industrial support activities on Hill Air Force Base, Utah and at sites located at Kadena Air Base, Japan and Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. These duties included the daily operations of all retail-level consumable supply, storage and distribution activities supporting depot level maintenance, repair and manufacturing actions occurring at the Ogden Air Logistics Complex located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.


Col. Kostrubala received his commission in 2004 as a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. His career has encompassed a variety of assignments, to include Air Force Instructor, FedEx intern and Joint positions within PACOM and abroad in Afghanistan and Central America. In addition to supporting counter narcotics trafficking and humanitarian assistance missions under Joint Task Force Bravo, he has served 20 months in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
