Douglas DeLaMater 374th Airlift Wing YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- With the 4th of July weekend behind us, I would like to express what an awesome opportunity it was to meet with many of you face-to-face during the Celebrate America festivities. I want to thank our Mission Support Group and everyone who volunteered their time and hard work to make the event such a huge success. I can't think of a better welcome for my family here at Yokota. In the short time that I've been here, I've already witnessed many of the things that make Yokota not only a great place to live, but a great place to serve. From the first day I arrived, I have been consistently impressed with the amazing men and women of the 374th Airlift Wing. As the Best Wing in the Pacific, you have proven yourselves time and time again to be a steady rock in a variety of contingencies in the region. I know that you will continue to represent our nation's best. It is my honor to be a part of Team Yokota's continuing legacy. I look forward to engaging with our partners in the region, deepening our friendship with our Japanese allies and neighbors, and serving alongside each and every one of you. You have my steadfast commitment to enabling our mission while caring for our Airmen and their families. Thank you for all that you've done. I look forward to accomplishing more together. Col.
