Commander's Corner: June 20, 2014 Published June 20, 2014 By Col. Mark August 374th Airlift Wing commander YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Looking back on our time here at Yokota, my wife, Kris, and I agree that if we could repeat any two years of our career, it would have to be our time at the 374th Airlift Wing. When you think of all the trials and triumphs team Yokota has experienced, it's easy to see what has made the past two years so special. This is an incredible team out here in the Western Pacific. We took on some tough challenges together, but what we've seen is that, through it all, the men and women of Team Yokota are trained and ready to get the job done. You are dedicated leaders who have the motivation to deliver results across an entire range of mission sets. It's truly awe-inspiring how this team makes it look so easy. I am confident that, thanks to you, every morning when our adversaries wake up, they know that today is not the day to mess with the United States or its allies. In closing, it's been an honor to lead you through it all and I wish all of you the best of luck. Keep being Professional Airlifters and outstanding Airmen. I know you will continue to be the Best Wing in the Pacific.
