This week, Team Yokota hosted many distinguished visitors who had the opportunity to see first-hand the men and women who make the mission happen. Their interest in operations here didn't center on the hardware that we operate, but primarily focused on the professionalism and hard work that Airmen commit themselves to day in and day out. They understand as well as I do that gadgets are neat, but innovative Airmen who operate them are the real story behind delivering professional airlift.

Time and again, senior-ranking officials have commented on how impressed they are with the teamwork and enthusiasm on display here at Yokota. Some might shy away from that level of attention, but our Airmen are confident in their ability to perform under pressure. As recent operations have proven, our strategic location in the Western Pacific postures us to support PACOM contingencies and crises at a moment's notice. We're trained and ready to lead the way.

Thank you for continuing to set the bar high, showing what it takes to be a professional. I'm confident that when our visitors depart Yokota, each one of them continues to share our story -- the "Best Wing in the Pacific."
