Warriors earn championship berth with 18-12 win
YOKOSUKA, Japan -- The entire Yokota Warriors' defense makes a goal-line stand against Bob Docherty, the 6-foot-6-inch, 280-pound quarterback of the Yokosuka Seahawks during Yokota's 18-12 defeat of the Yokosuka Aug. 1 in a semi-final game of the U.S. Forces Japan-American Football League playoffs. Yokota earned its third Torii Bowl, or championship, berth since the USFJ-AFL began in 2000. The Warriors lost at Yokosuka 15-12 in 2000 and 30-21 at Misawa in 2005.
