FUSSA, Japan – An endangered Golden Orchid is unearthed as part of a relocation project which moves the plants from their habitat near Yokota Air Base, Japan, to Tama Hills, located just 25 km away June 17, 2013. A total of 80 Golden Orchids were relocated from Fussa City to the Tama Hills recreation area by members of the 374th Civil Engineer Squadron in order to preserve the plants, which require ample amounts of shade.
