Re-dedication ceremony honors fallen firefighters
YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Yoshiya Tsuzuki,a Kumano Shrine Shinto priest, performs a traditional blessing during the Memorial Garden Re-Dedication ceremony here Feb. 16. Recently, a new fire department facility was constructed and the memorial was re-dedicated to honor the 10 U.S. and Japanese firefighters from Yokota who were killed while responding to a B-29 plane crash in Korea in 1951.
