Cleaning up after Mother Nature
YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- An Airman from the 374th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron de-ices a C-130 Hercules following a snow fall of five inches in just over seven hours Feb. 14-15. The accumulation paled in comparison to the record 15 inches of snow that fell at Yokota Feb. 15-16, 1968, breaking a mark that had stood since 1951. The record snowfall for Tokyo is 18.3 inches in 1883, according to historical records. (U.S. Air Force photo/Osakabe Yasuo)
