Honor Gaurd a Cut Above The Rest
YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Airmen participate in a week-long seminar held by the Yokota Honor Guard to determine if they have what it takes to becoming a Ceremonial Guardsmen. After hours of training and practice the recruits have to pass a rigorous evaluation in order to receive a 13 month contract with the honor guard. They will be responsible for performing in a multitude of military ceremonies to include: Changes of Command, Promotion Ceremonies, Retirement Ceremonies, and at times, military cordons and balls.
