Friendship Festival draws more than 170,000
YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Grant Higa, special guest at the 6th Annual Yokota Air Base Strongman Competition, pulls a bus full of passengers during the 2009 Yokota Air Base Japanese-American Friendship Festival Aug. 23. More than 170,000 people attended the two-day event. In addition to static displays and live music, the festival offered a variety of American and Japanese food items.
