Yokota Airmen take part in Pacific Airlift Rally '09
SUBANG ROYAL MALAYSIAN AIR FORCE BASE, Malaysia -- Aircrew members from the 36th Airlift Squadron at Yokota Air Base, Japan, gather for an aircrew briefing before takoff Aug. 19 during the 2009 Pacific Airlift Rally here. The PAR is a biennial exercise involving Pacific Rim nations which enhances military airlift interoperability with a focus in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. The exercise consists of a tabletop exercise and a field-training exercise involving three C-130 aircraft from the 374th Airlift Wing at Yokota Air Base, Japan, and one C-130 each from the Royal Malaysian Air Force, Royal Australian Air Force, Republic of Singapore Air Force and Royal New Zealand Air Force.
