Pacific Airlift Rally 2009 kicks off

SUBANG ROYAL MALAYSIAN AIR FORCE BASE, Malaysia -- Senior Airman Kacie Adsit, 36th Airlift Squadron loadmaster from Yokota Air Base, Japan, reads through technical orders before a heavy equipment drop from a C-130 Hercules Aug. 19 during the 2009 Pacific Airlift Rally here. The PAR is a bi-annual exercise involving Pacific Rim nations which enhances military airlift interoperability with a focus in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. The exercise consista of a tabletop exercise and a field training exercise involving three C-130 aircraft from the 374th Airlift Wing at Yokota and one C-130 each from the Royal Malaysian Air Force, Royal Australian Air Force, Republic of Singapore Air Force and Royal New Zealand Air Force.
