Pacific Airlift Rally 2009 kicks off
SUBANG ROYAL MALAYSIAN AIR FORCE BASE, Malaysia -- Lt. Col. David Kincaid, 36th Airlift Squadron commander, leads a formation of members the 36th AS, 374th Operations Support Squadron and 374th Maintenance Squadron, all from Yokota Air Base, Japan, during the Pacific Airlift Rally 2009 opening ceremony Aug.18 here. The PAR is a bi-annual exercise involving Pacific Rim nations which enhances military airlift interoperability with a focus in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. The exercise consists of a tabletop exercise and a field-training exercise involving three C-130 aircraft from the 374th Airlift Wing Yokota Air Base Japan and one C-130 each from the Royal Malaysian, Royal Australian Air Force, Republic of Singapore Air Force and Royal New Zealand Air Force.
