Kanto Plain Special Olympics

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Senior Master Sgt. Tom Johnson, 374th Maintenance Squadron first sergeant, escorts athletes from the Skip school in Musashi-Murayama during the Parade of Hope May 23 at the opening ceremonies of the 30th Annual Kanto Plain Special Olympics at Yokota's Bonk Field. More than 100 athletes from eight local schools competed in events ranging from the standing long jump and 50-meter dash to bowling and swimming.
