Japan's Air Defense Command moves to Yokota

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Lt. Gen. Bruce A. Wright (second from the left), commanding general of U.S. Forces Japan and 5th Air Force, and other distinguished visitors participate in a groundbreaking ceremony Feb. 15 to commemorate the relocation of Japan Air Self Defense Force's Air Defense Command to Yokota. The Air Defense Command is currently located at Fuchu Air Base in Fuchu City, Tokyo. The relocation is scheduled to be complete by the end of the fiscal year 2010.
