Japan's Air Defense Command moves to Yokota
YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Lt. Gen. Bruce A. Wright, commanding general of U.S. Forces Japan and 5th Air Force, speaks to U.S. military and Japan Air Self Defense Force members about the future of Japan's Air Defense Command during a ceremony Feb. 15 commemorating the command's relocation to Yokota. The Air Defense Command is currently located at Fuchu Air Base in Fuchu City, Tokyo. The relocation is scheduled to be complete by the end of the fiscal year 2010.
