FAST develops vigilant SFS and safe aircraft
YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan— Staff Sgt. Justin Barnes, 374th Security Forces Squadron, performs a submission hold, based on pressure point control and physical apprehension restraint techniques, during Fly-away security training at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Aug. 19-23, 2013. Students received hands-on practical training in subjects such as self-defense and anti-hijacking training. Fly-away security team members, who are embedded in an aircrew, travel with any Yokota aircraft that travels into potentially dangerous areas of the Pacific Region to protect the aircraft and aircrew from potential threats.
