Antenna maintenance ensures multi-service communication
An airman 1st class assigned to the 374th Communications Squadron cable and antenna maintenance shop removes a wrench from his tool box July 26, 2013, during scheduled maintenance at the Tokorozawa Communication Site, Japan. The maintenance consisted of replacing crystalline plastic used as support bridges between antenna segments. Each plastic piece had a life cycle of 5 years, but was replaced by newer, stronger plastic which will last 10 years before needing to be replaced. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Cody H.
