Kendo Club Joint Summer Camp

A kendo practitioner strikes his opponent’s head during the Kendo Club Joint Summer Camp at Yokota Air Base, Japan, July 29, 2017. Yokota Kendo Club has practiced every Saturday for about 25 years. Kazuto Miura, headmaster of Keitenkan Dojo in Akishima city, founded Yokota Kendo Club and started to teach kendo on base. Yokota Kendo Club and Keitenkan Dojo hold summer camps together annually; this is the sixth time the summer camp has been held on base. (U.S. Air Force photo by Machiko Arita)
