Yokota Tower Run Honors Fallen Heroes from 9/11
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Kassandra Hershberger, 374th Communications Squadron unit security manager, looks up the stairs of a tower at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Sept. 11, 2020, as she prepares to switch with the current runner during a 9/11 Memorial Run. Hershberger and her team competed in the 9/11 Memorial Tower Run where teams of four relayed to run 110 floors together, simulating the floors first responders would have had to climb after the attacks.
