U.S., Japan Forces perform bilateral logistics training

Staff Sgt. Nicholas Adkins, 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron NCO in charge of training operations, center, measures the length of 10K All-Terrain Forklift to calculate the center of balance alongside members of the Japan Air Self Defense Force, 3rd Depot, during a base facilities tour Dec. 15, 2021, at Yokota Air Base, Japan. The center of balance formula is utilized to accurately compute the weight and center of balance of a vehicle, in order to be able to safely plan and load equipment onto an aircraft. Cargo loading is a careful exercise in weight distribution, as an unbalanced load can create severe safety risks. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Hannah Bean)
