U.S., Japanese communities come together for 43rd Kanto Plains Special Olympics
Tech. Sgt. Armondo Rodriguez, 374th Medical Support Squadron command support squadron flight chief and Kanto Plains Special Olympics volunteer, congratulates a KPSO athlete after earning a medal during the 43rd annual KPSO at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Nov. 5, 2022. Athletes were able to compete in a variety of games including soccer shoot, basketball dribble, softball throw, bowling, running and swimming races. Hosting events like the KPSO is an opportunity for Yokota Air Base to fortify its ties with the Japanese community and enhance the strong bond the U.S. shares with Japan. (U.S. Air Force by Tech.
