Multilateral leadership celebrates with New Year Jumps 2023
U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division paratroopers march to a recovery area with parachutes in tow after jumping from a U.S. C-130J Super Hercules during the annual New Year’s Jump exercise at the Camp Narashino Training Area, Chiba, Japan, Jan. 8, 2023. The first jump exercise of the year in Japan showcases a bilateral capability and emphasizes the strong commitment defense partners have in creating a free and open Indo-Pacific region. This display of strength and capability by allied military forces acts as a deterrent to peer adversaries and as a symbol of the lasting friendship between allied partners.
