Intramural sports is a fun and active way for Team Yokota to highlight camaraderie, sportsmanship and talent.

The 374th Force Support Squadron offers a variety of sports including football, basketball, volleyball, soccer and softball.

“The goal of intramural sports is to promote healthy and competitive activity,” said Staff Sgt. Antwon Nixon, 374th FSS sports director. “It also emphasizes esprit de corps among units.”

The sports calendar runs throughout the year, providing an opportunity for all to participate.

“The program is a great opportunity for members whether military or civilian to play a sport or cheer on their squadron,” added Nixon. “Team trophies will be presented to the base champion and runner-up winners for the playoffs.”

On average more than 1,100 members participate in intramural sports throughout the year.

All Active Duty military, NAF, DOD civilians/contractors, active Reservists/National Guard and their family members, as well as Japanese Local Nationals (IHA/MLC) and JASDF can participate in the program.
