YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Mrs. Kayla Ash, spouse of a 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron member, was pronounced dead on Yokota Air Base, Feb. 9, 2021.
“I would like to express my heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Mrs. Kayla Ash during this difficult time,” said Lt. Col. Tyson Daw, commander of the 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron. “My team and I will continue to provide support to those close to her as they remain in our thoughts and prayers.”
Wing leadership and law enforcement officials have confirmed that there is no indication of any risk to the community.
This investigation remains open and ongoing, pending medical examiner’s official determination of cause and manner of death. No further investigative details are releasable at this time.
