Capt. Jackson Magdefrau, 374th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aircraft maintenance officer in charge, earned the 2022 Maj. Gen. Saunders Chapter Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his superior leadership and service to Yokota’s local Logistics Officer Association chapter.

The association is a professional development organization that aims to strengthen partnerships and enhance education opportunities by uniting the logistics and acquisition communities of the Department of Defense, industry, and academia.

“I earned this award due to the high-caliber officers who are part of the Fuji LOA,”  said Magdefrau. “Even though we are a smaller LOA Chapter, the mentors that advise us to make our local chapter the best it can be are making strides in the right direction by this national chapter level recognition.”

The Fuji LOA chapter at Yokota helps ensure the 374th AMXS mission runs efficiently by streamlining work processes and providing professional growth opportunities for its members.

“I joined primarily for networking opportunities,” said Magdefrau. “I wanted to further understand the different capabilities that each logistical career field brings to the sortie generation mission.”

Magdefrau, who oversees flight line maintenance production efforts for Yokota’s C-130J Super Hercules, says he enjoys seeing his maintainers and logisticians tackle the mission.

“Being around the dedicated members that are part of the LOA chapter provides me with constant motivation,” said Magdefrau.
