Yokota Fire Department hosts 12th annual Tower Run

More than 80 members of Team Yokota came together during the annual 9/11 Tower Run, Sept. 11, 2023, to remember the lives lost during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The Tower Run represented the 110 floors of the World Trade Center that emergency responders ascended after al-Qaeda terrorists attacked the lower-Manhattan building complex 22 years ago.

The 374th Civil Engineer Squadron fire department hosted the event and challenged individuals and teams to make the climb while wearing a self-contained breathing apparatus air pack and carrying dog tags identifying firefighters who were killed that fateful day.
