374th IG prepares inspectors for large scale readiness exercise
YOKOTA AIR FORCE BASE, Japan -- Leaders from the 374th Inspector General office conducted a final readiness session and briefing for its Wing Inspection Team (WIT) members helping to inspect all functions and units during an annual large-scale mission readiness exercise at Yokota Air Base on Oct. 5.
The Beverly Morning exercise is Team Yokota's biggest exercise effort of the year, the culmination of smaller exercises and trainings throughout the first 10 months of the year, and is built to evaluate the installation's response to a simulated series of practical wartime and contingency crisis scenarios.
Inspectors are an important aspect of forces ability to maintain a deployment ready posture, as they identify both strengths and areas of improvement that require additional attention to bring them up to readiness standards per Air Force Instruction.
