The 459th Airlift Squadron and 36th Airlift Squadron hosted orientation flights for spouses to practice emergency evacuation procedures at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Nov. 19, 2024.

Spouses were given the opportunity to practice emergency evacuation plan procedures and fly in either a UH-1N Huey, C-12J Huron or C-130 to simulate the evacuation flight.

The 459th AS and 36th AS host orientation flights to bolster morale, showcase teamwork and give members of the Yokota community a firsthand experience with the airlift mission. This iteration required participation in emergency evacuation procedures, where individuals prepare documents and items necessary to safely and quickly evacuate the area.
