Yokota delivers at Cope North 13

C-130H Hercules aircrews and aircraft maintainers from the 374th Airlift Wing at Yokota Air Base, Japan, are maintaining peak readiness by participating in exercise Cope North 13 at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, with Japan Air Self-Defense Forces and the Royal Australian Air Force.

The exercise is designed to enhance each countries' air operations. Additionally, the exercise includes humanitarian assistance and disaster relief training objectives for the USAF, JASDF and RAAF.

The U.S. has approximately 1,000 participants, the JASDF has approximately 450 participants, and the RAAF has approximately 300 participants.

Cope North exercise has been around since 1978 when it was first hosted at Misawa Air Base, Japan. More than 3 decades of multilateral training has ensured Team Yokota along with its allies are ready for contingency and humanitarian operations at a moment's notice.
