27 Airmen graduate from ALS Class 12-B

Twenty-seven Airmen graduated from the 374th Airlift Wing Airman Leadership School Class 12-B Feb. 9 during a ceremony at the enlisted club here.

Senior Airman Sheldon Dunn Jr., 374th Civil Engineer Squadron, received the John L. Levitow Award as the class' top graduate.

Senior Airman Gayla Coats, 374th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, earned the Distinguished Graduate Award, while Senior Airman Megan Dean, 374th AW Command Post, received the Academic Achievement Award. The Commandant Award went to Staff Sgt. Wilfredo Cruz, Air Force Band of the Pacific-Asia.

The Airman Leadership School staff also celebrated one of their own, Tech. Sgt. Andy Gilbert. This graduation was Gilbert's last as an instructor. Chief Master Sgt. Ronald Draper, 374th AW command chief master sergeant and guest speaker for the graduation, commended Gilbert for his selflessness and dedication. Among his more notable accomplishments, Gilbert was the 2010 Air Force Enlisted Professional Military Education NCO of the Year.
