Commercial aircraft diverted from Narita IAP to Yokota

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan --  Several commercial aircraft have diverted to Yokota Air Base from Narita International Airport, after it closed in response to an earthquake that hit mainland Japan at 2:50 p.m. today.

"The 374th Airlift Wing is prepared and ready to assist during this time of crisis," said Col. Otto Feather, 374th Airlift Wing commander.
