Ceremony recognizes newest members selected for promotion to chief master sergeant

More than 200 members of the Yokota community attended the Chief Master Sergeant Recognition ceremony held at the Enlisted Club here Jan. 29.

Seven U.S. Air Force and three Japan Air Self-Defense Force servicemembers were recognized during the ceremony as being the most recent members selected for promotion to the highest enlisted rank of chief master sergeant.

The following individuals were selected for promotion:

Senior Master Sgt. Kenneth Bourns, Pacific Air Forces Air Postal Squadron, Det. 2

Senior Master Sgt. Henry Ellis Jr., 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron

Senior Master Sgt. Yorimitsu Morita, Japan Air Self-Defense Force

Senior Master Sgt. Sandra Pfeffer, 5th Air Force

Senior Master Sgt. Henry Purvis, 374th LRS

Senior Master Sgt. Scott Smith, 374th Maintenance Group
