Power outage at Yokota Air Base

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan --  Due to heavy rains and flooding, the eastside housing area of Yokota Air Base is experiencing a power outage.

Additionally, this outage has caused water service disruptions in three housing towers.

As a result, residents of Towers 1563, 4302 and 4303 have been asked to evacuate their homes by 8 p.m. tonight.

Residents are being asked to stay with a friend, if this is not possible, the Samurai Fitness Center has been set-up to accommodate those affected. If you will be staying at the Fitness Center you must bring your own linen, towels, toiletries, and medication.

If residents require assistance, please contact your unit first sergeant or CES Unit Control Center at 225-7310.

Base residents can expect full power restoration within 24 hours.
