Thirty-three units received Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas awards during an awards ceremony at the Yokota Enlisted Club, Feb. 11.

Colonel Frank Eppich, 374th Airlift Wing vice commander presented the awards on behalf of the CFC-O, which gives Federal employees stationed overseas the opportunity to contribute to charitable causes throughout the world.

"Here at Yokota we are about helping people," said Col Eppich. "Our mission and what we do, supports going out and helping people."

Kitty Malcolm stated that Yokota raised nearly $300,000 with 42.5 percent participation this year. During the campaign, Yokota was the first base in the Pacific Command to reach 100 percent contact.

The participants of the 2009 CFC-O received one of four level awards based on the monetary amount per individual in the unit or on the total unit participation amount.

"The level of award indicates how well they (the units) did during the campaign. There are four levels: bronze, silver, gold and platinum," said Kitty Malcolm, CFC-O Pacific campaign coordinator.

According to the CFC-O website, "the mission of the CFC is to support and to promote philanthropy through a voluntary program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all Federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all."

"Being involved with the CFC shows you the incredible generosity and commitment to helping others that service members have," said Kitty Malcolm.
