Yokota fire department conducts mutual support training
YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Two P-23 Airport Rescue Fire Firefighting truck crews from the Yokota Air Base Fire Department takes part in a joint exercise with the Tokyo Fire Department June 5 on the northeast perimeter of the base. The crews from Yokota helped put out a simulated fire at the Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. factory in Mizuho during the exercise to demonstrate assistance provided by a mutual support agreement between the base and the Tokyo Fire Department. Each P-23 can hold more than 3,000 gallons of water and can remotely shoot a jet of water several hundred feet from a nozzle mounted above the cab of the vehicle. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt.
