374 LRS hosts JASDF in logistics officer training course Aug. 12, 2025
U.S. Air Force Airmen within the 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron hosted 30 Japan Air Self-Defense Force officers during a logistics officer course here, July 31.

The JASDF officers received in-depth briefings and tours of the 374 LRS mission and its facilities, experiencing the mission capabilities of the 374 LRS through its combat mobility flight, fuel mobility support, as well as the 730th Air Mobility Squadron.

The tour enhanced the JASDF officers’ knowledge on the condition of transportation and logistics operations in the U.S. Air Force, gaining a wealth of insight to pass on to future personnel.

Welcoming JASDF officers to bilateral forces tours of the LRS and AMS has been an ongoing collaboration for the last 22 years, according to Master Sgt. Michael Castro, 374 LRS operations and compliance superintendent.

Professional development opportunities, like this mission tour, not only showcases U.S. capabilities, but also gives participants an opportunity to ask questions and expand their leadership and logistics knowledge.
